Dear Parents/Carers,
Asalam-a-alaiykum. May the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan be upon you (Ameen).
Class Parties
On Monday 18th June all classes will be having an Eid party to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. All children are welcome to come to school in non-uniform.
Any donations of food for the parties are welcome and will be greatly received.
Community Party
On the 22nd June we will hold a community Eid Party where we can come together as a community to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. This event will run from 1:00pm until 3:00pm and will involve lots of music, dance and prayer and a chance for you to spend some time with your child.
We are asking people to bring along a donation of food, as we have done previously, so that we can all share food together.
We as a school would like to further raise funds for the London Fire Relief Fund in aid of victims and families of the Grenfell Tower fire. On the day of the party there will be a collection box that all donations can be placed in.
Year Six Eid Party
The Year Six teaching team and pupils would like to invite all Year Six parents and carers to join us in celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr.
You are welcome to join us in the small hall from 1.45pm to 3pm, on Monday 18th June. The children have been collecting their attendance winnings and we will be organising some food but any donations of food you could donate would be welcome and greatly received.
Yours sincerely
Miss M Michael
Headteacher
Today we had a very special assembly around the theme of special people and thankfulness.
In the assembly we celebrated the amazing contributions Mr Beswick made as a Police Constable during the Manchester Attacks.
Mr Beswick has been awarded a Queen's Award for Voluntary Service and everyone at St Luke's is so proud of him and thankful for his outstanding and commendable work.
Mr Beswick received a well deserved standing ovation from everyone at St Luke's.
Our first week back has been a very busy one and we have been very lucky to enjoy a number of fantastic assemblies!
The whole school enjoyed a super assembly presented by our Ramadan club. They shared lots of information about the month of Ramadan and even performed prayers and dances. Well done to all of the children involved and the amazing Ms Parveen and Mrs Rehan for their hard work during the assembly!
