  • Christmas Cards for Grundy Day Centre

    The children in Year 4 have made beautiful Christmas Cards to give to the people who attend Grundy Care Home. They loved the cards and were so touched that they were personalised for each person. There were smiles all around!

  • Church Service

    Today Reception through to Year 6 walked to St Peter's Church for our Christmas Service. The Church was filled with the sweet sounds of Christmas carols, amazing readings from Year 6 pupils and the children enjoyed a snap-shot of the Foundation Unit Nativity. We were joined by Paul Schofield from Metro Church who shared the message of trying, even when things are difficult.

  • PTA Fundraising Success

    Thank you to everyone that came and supported the Christmas Fair yesterday. It was an amazing success and another outstanding example of community spirit and support. We raised a huge £964.92! This added to the profit of £150 from the Disco last week takes the total raised to £1114.92 towards books for the children in just over a week!

     

    A huge well done and thank you to everyone that donated items, time or food and thank you to everyone that came and supported the events.

  • ALFA Concert

    On 15th December, the school enjoyed an Alfa concert - celebrating the work the children have accomplished during music lessons this term. We heard some fantastic music, ranging from singers to ukuleles.

    Christmas Events 2016

     

    Pantomime: All children from Reception through to Year 6 will be going to Bury College to watch the pantomime, Snow White. We will leave school at 9:00am and be back in time for dinner. We are asking for a 50p donation towards the ticket price for each child which can be sent to the school office.

     

    Tuesday 6th December – Reception Cooper and Year 6 

    Thursday 8th December – Reception James and Year 3

    Friday 9th December – 1L and Year 4                             

    Monday 12th December – 1S and Year 5                                               Tuesday 13th December – Year 2 including 2/3R

     

    Christingle Service: Friday 2nd December at St Peter’s Church starting at 7pm. All parents/carers are welcome.

     

    PTA Christmas Disco: Thursday 8th December 3.45pm – 4.45pm (KS1 & EYFS), 5.00pm – 6.00pm (KS2) £1.50 per ticket available from the school office.

     

    Christmas Jumper Day: Friday 9th December 2016. Wear a Christmas Jumper in return for a donation to the School Fair! E.g. a bottle, chocolate, cake, nearly new toy or an unwanted gift sets.

     

    Reception James Post Box Walk: Monday 12th December 12:30pm. Children will be walking to the post box to post Christmas Cards to their families.

     

    Reception Cooper Post Box Walk: Tuesday 13th December 12:30pm. Children will be walking to the post box to post Christmas Cards to their families.

     

    Choir to Visit Bankfield House: The school choir will be visiting Bankfield House to sing for the residents in the afternoon.

     

    After School Clubs Finish: There will be no after school clubs in the last week of term.

     

    Christmas Fair:  Thursday 15th December at 3:30pm – 5:00pm. In the Main School Hall.

     

    Whole School Church Visit: Tuesday 20th December – The whole school will be visiting St. Peter’s for our Christmas Service in the morning.

     

    EYFS Nativity –Tuesday 20th December 2:30pm start “Is there a baby in there?” (Seating available from 2:15pm)

     

    Christmas Dinner – Tuesday 20th December.  Christmas Dinner for all children on School Dinners. If your child is on packed lunches and would like a Christmas Dinner please let the office know by Wednesday 7th December. The cost will be £2.30.

     

    EYFS Nativity –Wednesday 21st December. 9:15am start “Is there a baby in there?” (Seating available from 9:00am)

     

    Key Stage 1 Carol Service – Thursday 22nd December. 9:15am start, seating available from 9:00am. All parents and carers welcome.

     

    Key Stage 2 Carol Service – Friday 23rd December – 9:15am start, seating available from 9:00am. All parents and carers welcome.

     

    School Finishes: Friday 23rd December at 3:15pm
