Week 8

This week we have been looking at the story ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’. The children have remembered who was the Gruffalo and was very excited to see what the story is going to be about. We have been developing our fine motor skills by looking at the different marks we could do linking to our story. We are doing so well at holding our pencil and making different lines and marks.

In our phonics this week, we have been developing our understanding of instrumental sounds and able to follow instructions such as stop and go. Children did amazing at listening to instructions and using their listening ears and their beady eyes.

To end our term we had a Christmas party and the children have enjoyed dancing and playing games with the reception children. It was a fun and exciting day for all the children in EYFS.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! and I can’t wait to welcome you all back in January! You have all settled in so well at Nursery and I can’t wait for all the exciting things that are planned for the new year!
