Our Vision

 

Our school vision is simple: to be rooted and grounded in love, just as Ephesians 3:17-19 teaches us. Our school community and beyond is a place where love is the foundation of everything we do. In our school love guided our teaching, learning and relationships, just as Jesus taught. We want every student, teacher, family member and visitor to feel that God's love and the love within our school community allows them to flourish. 

Love shapes our curriculum, our discipline and our interactions. No matter your background, and just as Jesus taught us, everyone has the right to love and be loved. It is at the very core of our school. Our St. Luke's family, circle of strength, whatever their faith, joined in love, kept by God. We strive to show compassion, friendship, and kindness in all that we do. 

Our ultimate goal is to help our children to understand the importance of love in their lives and in the world around them. They will then carry this love with them, making a positive impact wherever they go.

 

Together, as a community rooted in love, we trust in God's guidance and grace as we journey forward.

Our School in 50 words

 

St. Luke's, through its church values and inclusive vision, celebrates diversity and difference, nurtures children's academic, emotional and spiritual growth.

Through the teachings of Christ, we promote love, forgiveness, compassion, patience, trust, thankfulness, friendship, kindness.

 

Our St. Luke's family, circle of strength, whatever their faith, joined in love, kept by God.

Our Christian Values

 

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. We follow Roots and Fruits and explore 12 Christian Values over a a two year time period. Within this, we ensure our core values of love, friendship, compassion and kindness are at the heart of our teachings.

SIAMS

Please take the time to read our last SIAMS inspection report. We are very proud of the report as it recognises and celebrates our supportive family atmosphere with allows all of our children to flourish. How diversity and difference is actively celebrated so that all are accorded dignity and respect. Our well-developed and fruitful links with local churches and the diocese to support the implementation of the school's Christian vision and how our school works hard to identify and support vulnerable pupils ensuring that all are able to make good progress from their starting points. Religious education (RE) and collective worship make a significant contribution to pupils’ spiritual development and to the respectful, compassionate ethos of the school.
