Week 1
Welcome Back Reception Callaghan to our last term!!!
Welcome back to Summer term 2. It is going to be the busiest term with lots of fun, sun and memories! We cannot wait. We have a new topic this term. We will be looking at things under the sea and pirates!!
We started our week off with our wonderful weekly phonics, reading and maths stay and play. Miss Callaghan put some wonderful under the sea activities for us as a clue to our new topic this half term. We had lots of parents come and enjoy some of the activities.
Stay and Play
On Monday in Maths we looked at the number 6. We looked at subitising in different pictures. We used our strawberry counters to recreate these and make some of our own. We talked about different ways to quickly group numbers and talked about pattern making numbers.
Subitising Strawberry’s
We had a wonderful visit from Andrea from Church, she brought wiggle along and we read some stories from the bible. We really enjoyed seeing wiggle again. We sang our songs, talked about how we could make good choices like God and practiced our school prayer.
