This week, Nursery have loved taking part in and getting involved with our new story, '1, 2, 3, Do the Dinosaur'. The children really enjoyed using our new vocabulary and joining in with the actions throughout the story.
Our book of the week!
Our sound of the week!
In phonics, we have been learning our new sound, (r). Nursery have enjoyed colouring pictures of items and objects that begin with our new sound and have shown great enthusiasm during our phonics activities.
The children have also enjoyed completing their Mountain Challenges this week. They loved using watercolours to create some beautiful dinosaur pictures. In another challenge, Nursery worked very hard to place numbers 1 to 5 in the correct order on a washing line. They did an amazing job!
This week, Nursery enjoyed spending time outdoors and taking part in a variety of activities in our outdoor learning environment. Their favourite activity was exploring and playing in the water area.
Nursery also celebrated the birthday of Sir David Attenborough. The children enjoyed learning about him and discovering his love of animals and nature. We made some wonderful birthday cards for him, as well as animal-themed cut-and-stick pictures. Happy Birthday from Nursery!
In maths, we have been learning about ordering numbers. Nursery were fantastic at working together as a class to put numbers 1 to 10 in the correct order. It was lovely to see the children supporting one another and working so well as a team.
What another amazing week we have had in Nursery! Well done, everyone, for your hard work and enthusiasm.
