We can’t believe we’ve reached the last week of Summer 1 in Nursery! This term, we have loved learning all about our dangerous dinosaurs, and Nursery have been absolutely fantastic.
To finish our topic, we enjoyed reading “Stomp, Chomp, Roar, Here Come the Dinosaurs”. The children have really impressed Miss Latham with their ability to recognise the names of different dinosaurs.
Our Book of the week!
Our sound of the week!
In phonics this week, we explored the sound (b). Nursery were amazing at recognising the new sound and even had a go at writing it!
We have also been very creative this week, making our very own dinosaur fossils from salt dough to take home. They looked amazing! Our pasta fossils during our mountain challenges were equally fantastic. Well done, Nursery!
On 20th May, we celebrated World Bee Day. Nursery enjoyed discussing why bees are so important and took part in fun activities all about our precious bees.
To finish off our dinosaur topic, Nursery had their very own Dinosaur Exploring Day on Friday. The children came dressed as explorers and took part in exciting dinosaur-themed activities. We even had a special dinosaur visitor, which caused lots of excitement!
What an amazing term we have had! Nursery would like to wish everyone a wonderful half term and we can’t wait to welcome you back for Summer 2.
