Eid Decorations
Reception have been busy creating Eid decorations to raise money for our upcoming Eid parties! Everyone has worked really hard to created a lovely decoration to sell to their grown ups. We hope you can support us with a donation for our Eid parties!!
We started our week with another successful Phonics and Reading Stay and Play session. Reception love their grown ups coming and starting the day with lots of fun and exciting activities. Sulaiman's daddy was very popular and there were lots of laughs and excitement from sharing stories about dinosaurs!! Thank you to all our grown ups who join us!!
Mountain Challenges
This week Mrs Green has introduced Mountain Challenges. We have 3 challenges that we need to complete over the week. Each time we complete a challenge we sign our travel log and move our picture up the mountain. If we reach the top by the end of the week we get a special certificate and sticker!! We were so excited for our first challenge. We could not wait to complete it!!
In Maths we have started looking at more and fewer. On Monday we played a game with a partner. We had to take a handful of counters and see who had more, who had fewer and how could we make it equal. We had so much fun!! We were very good at using our mathematical vocabulary!!
In Maths we continued looking at more and fewer. We worked with a partner and created our own pictures to describe. We used the stem sentences - Mrs Green has more flowers than Emaan. Emaan has fewer flowers than Mrs Green. Everyone loved creating and describing their pictures!!
On Tuesday we celebrated St Patrick's Day. We learnt all about what happens and how people celebrate around the world!! We found out about St Patrick and some of the traditions that take place during this celebration.
This week in Drawing Club we are reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar. After reading the story Mrs Green showed us a clip of how a caterpillar changes into a butterfly.
