This week in Nursery, the children have been learning all about birthdays and why they are special. Our focus story was 'Happy Birthday, Gruffalo!' and the children loved making delicious food and colourful birthday cards for the Gruffalo.
In Scribble It, Noodle and Titch asked the children to draw a present they would like to give to the Gruffalo. Nursery came up with some fantastic and creative ideas for their gifts.
In Maths, we introduced the number 2. The children enjoyed exploring the classroom to find the number 2 and it was lovely to see them creating their own Numberblock 2 using a variety of shapes and materials.
In Understanding the World, we learned about where bears live and the different habitats they can be found in around the world. Nursery really enjoyed learning about the different types of bears and why they are so special. To follow on from this learning, the children created their own habitats for a brown bear. They looked fantastic!
