Week 2

This week in Nursery, we have been celebrating 'World Nursery Rhyme Week'. The children took part in a variety of fun activities linked to different nursery rhymes. Our favourite nursery rhyme this week was 'Two Little Dickie Birds', which the children really enjoyed.

In Maths, we continued learning about sorting different objects. The children created their own sorting rules and worked together to sort objects into two hoops. Nursery were fantastic at taking turns and working as a team.

We also spent time learning about Remembrance Day, discussing why we honour and respect this important day each year. The children took part in a two-minute silence and enjoyed a range of Remembrance Day activities. Nursery created some beautiful, bright poppies using a variety of materials and mark-making techniques.

In Scribble It, the children invented a new design for an umbrella linked to one of the nursery rhymes we explored this week. Nursery produced some amazing and colourful umbrella designs using different types of marks.

To finish off the week, the children were invited to come to school dressed as their favourite nursery rhyme character. It was lovely to see some of the children confidently singing their nursery rhymes to the class.

Nursery have thoroughly enjoyed this week and have done some amazing work — well done, everyone! 🌟
