We have made it to the end of Spring term 1!!!

We have had some fantastic wow moments, lots of new stars of the week and lots more learning this week. 

This week was our busiest Phonics stay and plays, lots of new parents were able to join us and lots of grandparents were able to come for the first time, it was so lovely to see such a big turn out, thank you all for coming and the continuous support you have shown. 

This week in Drawing Club we have been reading Alien Tea on Planet Zum Zee. We all said this was the best book and have added it to our recommended book stand to read throughout the day. 

In Maths we have been using the number rhyme 5 little speckled frogs to help us with our number bonds to 5, we had some special guests to help us do this. We have looked at the different ways we can make number 5 and we now know that

5 and 0 makes 5

4 and 1 makes 5

3 and 2 makes 5

2 and 3 makes 5

1 and 4 makes 5

0 and 5 makes 5

In RE we looked at The Creation Story Day 6 we looked at how Christians believe God created land animals and humans like me and you. We created some beautiful pictures of humans God created. 

In PE we have focused on balance and working as a team, we created a balance circuit and worked together to get through it we really enjoyed doing this. 

We looked at Valentines Day this week and learnt about how special this day is to show our families how much we love them. We created some gorgeous hearts to take home and made a valentines day card to take home for our families. 

On Tuesday 17th February we celebrated Random Act of Kindness Day, we wrote special notes for staff all across the school and attached them to a daffodil for them to keep. It made us feel happy and good seeing all the staff in school smile and feel special. 

We also had a lovely visit from 1S and 1L. Both classes had been working really hard on writing their own stories and came to share them with us in circle time. We loved hearing all their wonderful stories and some of them made us giggle.

We filled our rewards jar up with flowers so as a treat and perfect way to end the half term we decided to have a popcorn party and we have chosen our new prize for when we will the jar up again!

We have loved Spring Term 1 and have made lots of new memories and learnt lots of new things, I hope you have a wonderful half term Miss Callaghan is very proud of everyone and can't wait to see you all in Spring 2 for our new topic and new learning.
