We started our week off on Monday with our phonics stay and play. We had lots of different new activity's and enjoyed showing these to our parents and carers.

Monday Phonics Stay and Play

This week in Drawing Club we read 'What the Ladybird Heard'. We loved recreating all the animal noises in the book and it got us really excited for our farm trip next week!!!

We drew some fantastic pictures with different passwords and passcodes, and we made our own ladybirds too!

In our areas Miss Callaghan left some ladybirds with no spots on them, we used loose parts and numbers to create our own spots on our Ladybirds.

In Maths this week we revisited our counting skills using some of Miss Callaghan's fish and a magic wand to help us.

We looked at:

Touch counting- using our magic want to touch the object when counting it

Number names in the correct sequence

Last number is the total

and order irrelevance.

We really enjoyed using the fish to count, using counters to hide groups of the fish and playing a matching game using pictures and numerals.

We then looked at one more and one less and used our Numberblock friends to helps us with this. We used the numberblocks to look at 2 other numbers that can be added together to make another.

We played some games, had some crisp, chocolate and played with balloons. We joined Nursery and RG and has a really good time. We enjoyed listening to our favourite songs and playing on Just Dance.

We also showed our friends our different Eid clothing and was excited to get dressed up for the occasion.

Finally this week in RE we learnt all about Easter.

We looked at why Easter is so special to the Christian Faith and why the cross is so important. We talked about the days leading up to Easter such as Good Friday and Easter Sunday and we looked at different ways Easter is celebrated such as gifting chocolate eggs which resemble new life.

We decorated a cross just like the one Jesus died on. We used a range of different spring coloured flowers to represent the New Life during this period.
