What an exciting week we have had this week!!
We started the week off with our weekly Phonics stay and plays however this week along with our phonics stay and play we did a national storytelling stay and play. We read Goldilocks and the Three Bears and made our very own story sack to take home! It was brilliant!
In Phonics we have been continuing to learn more diagraphs. We have learnt oi, ear, air and ure. We was able to use our new workbooks this week.
In Drawing Club we read 'Aliens love Underpants'. We loved this story, we shared which ones we liked the most, designed our own aliens and even designed our own underpants for the aliens!!
This week we introduced our new worry monster. We read the story and introduced how he can help us. We shared what made us worried some children said "bats" "sharks" "the dark" and "monsters". The children drew pictures of their worries for the worry monster to eat them and make them go away. We really enjoyed giving lots of snuggles to him and introducing ourselves to him.
In RE we looked at Day 5 in the creation story and created some of the fish God created by using recycled CD's, glitter, gems and eyes. We made our fish beautiful to reflect on God making the world beautiful.
On Tuesday it was Times Table Rockstar Day (TT Rockstar Day) we all came to school dressed as rockstars and went to assembly to show our outfits to the school, we looked really cool and enjoyed looking like a rockstar for the day!
On Friday it was NSPCC Number Day, we dressed up as numbers and the adults in Early Years dressed up as number blocks! It was a really fun day, we made number crowns, completed a number hunt and did some number crafts to take home.
