Another busy week in Reception Callaghan.
This week we have been celebrating International Dot Day.
We created lots of art work using dots, we took inspiration from Yayoi Kusama and learnt all about her beautiful artwork.
In Drawing Club we have been reading 'In Every House on Every Street'. The children have looked reading and looking at this book especially because our theme this half term is House and Homes. In UTW we look at different type of houses around the world and talked about how they looked different, we even used Google Maps to show our houses.
We have been practising our subitising skills in Maths and are really good at this!!
In phonics we are learning more new sounds and practising our oral blending as well as listening for initial sounds in words and sorting objects.
