Week 2
What another amazing week we have had in Reception. We have been super busy with all of our learning!!
In Phonics we have been learning the new digraphs:
ng, nk, ai and ee
After ethe 'ee' digraph, we can now spell Mrs Green's !!!
In Drawing Club we have been reading Whatever Next. We loved Baby Bear's journey into space in his homemade rocket. We had great fu coming up with new foods for his moon picnic - we came up with worm jelly, mud milkshake and strawberry ice-cream to name a few.
In Maths we have been looking at number 4 and number 5. We have been looking at parts and wholes. We explored what parts make up 4 and what parts make up 5.
We loved creating our own stampoline patterns to show our understanding.
In RE we learned about Day 1 of Creation and in UTW we have started learning all about Space.
Our Phonics Learning
We have been practicing using our new digraphs to read and spell words. We are getting really good at this!!
