Week 1
Welcome back to Autumn 2!! Another busy and exciting half term in Reception.
We started the week talking about pumpkins. Some children had been trick or treating and we explored what is inside a pumpkin. We scooped it out - it was smiley and slippery and there were lots of pumpkin pips inside. Afterwards we revisited the artist Yayoi Kusama and used real pumpkins to create our own artwork.
This week we have been learning about Bonfire Night, another festival of light. We talked about similiarities to Diwali. We created our own firework artwork and learnt about Bonfire Safety.
In Drawing Club we read Room on the Broom. In RE we learned about what happens at a Christian Baptism and we joined with RC to have our own Baptism ceremony.
