Week 4
This week, Nursery have been looking at the ‘Jolly Postman’ story. Nursery have been looking at how important the postal service is to us within our community and how they help us. Nursery have been giving out the letters to the correct characters within the story. We have also been on a story walk outside about our story of the ‘Jolly Postman’. Nursery were amazing at retelling the story!
In Math this week, we have been continuing to look at the number 4. Nursery were amazing at recognising and counting objects up to 4. In phonics this week, we have been looking at what is our favourite instrument that we have been using within our phonics lesson. Nursery were amazing at answering why they chose the instrument they like.
This week, we have been celebrating ‘Lunar New Year’ within Nursery. We made the most beautiful and colourful Chinese dragon out of materials. It looked great! Nursery used our dragon for our Chinese dragon dance to celebrate. Nursery have also got the opportunity to try different Chinese foods. We really enjoyed the prawn crackers!
