What a busy week we have had in Nursery!

This week's topic was learning all about how the police help us within our community. Nursery really enjoyed dressing up as police officers and completing different challenges within the classroom. 🚓👮
 

Our Book of the Week!

The morning children had two very special visitors this week, who even brought their own police car! The children loved learning all about how the police help us and even had the opportunity to sit in the car. Please do not worry, the afternoon children will be having this opportunity over the next couple of weeks.


 

Nursery have also enjoyed learning our new sound this week. We have taken part in lots of different activities and challenges around the room linked to our sound. Miss Latham was very impressed to see some children beginning to write our sounds each week! Well done! 🌟

 

On Tuesday, we celebrated Penguin Awareness Day and learnt all about penguins. Nursery made some amazing penguins using a variety of materials, and we enjoyed feeding our penguin 4 fish, linking to our maths learning. By the end of the day, Nursery were waddling around like penguins and enjoying our penguin dance! 🐧

 

In Maths this week, we have been learning all about the number 4. Nursery helped Pete the Cat find his 4 buttons to put back onto his yellow jacket. Nursery have also created some fantastic square collages, which looked amazing! 🟥🟩
