We Love To Read

We Love to Read!

Reading is at the heart of everything we do at St Luke's. We are passionate about nurturing a love of books and stories, helping children to become confident, enthusiastic readers from an early age. Through rich, engaging texts and a wide range of reading opportunities, we support children in developing their vocabulary, imagination, and understanding of the world around them. Strong reading skills underpin all areas of learning, boosting confidence, creativity, and academic success. By fostering a lifelong love of reading, we empower every child to thrive both in school and beyond.

Key Stage 2 were lucky enough to have access to a LIVE online event last term with the author Cressida Cowell. This was an extremely inspiring event and we were also lucky enough to be one of only 10 schools to receive a signed copy of her new book, Which Way to Anywhere. Please see Mrs Carroll if you would like to find out more about this!
