St Luke's School Development Plan

St Luke's School Development Plan 2023 - 2024

Our school development plan (SDP) provides information regarding the key priorities identified through self evaluation for this academic year. It is used to help drive school improvement and is monitored by school governors.

The evidence that we have drawn on includes:

  • Analysis of pupil attainment and progress including external data from summer 2022 and internal data for the 2022 - 2023 school year
  • Evaluation of the 2022 - 2023 school development plan (SEF)
  • Evaluation of the impact of teaching and learning and analysis of children's gaps in curriculum knowledge
  • Observations and scrutiny of children’s learning and their written work, as well as consideration of teacher feedback on pupils’ readiness for return to school, including the state of their mental health and wellbeing
  • Guidance from DFE and Ofsted documents including the new inspection framework and EYFS framework
  • Ofsted Inspection report 2023
  • Further research into developing a broad, balanced and well sequenced curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils including disadvantaged and SEND pupils

Key priorities for this academic year are to develop:

  • The quality and standards of education
  • Pupils' behaviours and attitudes to learning
  • Pupils' personal development
  • Leadership and management
  • The Early Years education
