Please ensure your child has their full P.E kit in school. PE for the Spring 2 half term is on a Monday morning.
This half term we will also have music lessons with Technola on a Tuesday morning and ICT on a Friday morning.
Please read at least three times a week with your child. We change our reading books on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and reading records must be signed by someone at home to show your child reads with you at home. Once your child's reading record has been signed, they can then quiz their reading book and change it.
Please use Reading Eggs where possible!

Where did the Robot come from?
Why is it alone in the woods?
Inference and deduction - How can we tell he is lonely? Does he feel at home in the woods? What is the factory like inside? Why does he decide to go back into the woods?
Complete these activities:
Write an alternative ending – the robot decides to go into the factory or gets spotted by the guards as he walks off.
Use description to alter the setting, for example, he could go into the factory – it could be an amazing place like Willy Wonka’s factory or it could be a sinister place. Analyse how the descriptions would differ.
Create a friend for the robot. Draw or describe him. Give
him a personality. There could be a whole class of robots, created in DT and woven into each other’s stories.
Write a diary entry for the robot focusing on the events in the film.
Write a letter from the robot to his long lost family.
Riaz has been practicing his reading skills on Reading Eggs, well done!

Have a go of these activities, in addition to the Home Packs that were given out, and Reading Eggs, Mathletics and Purple Mash:
Literacy: Read a book and write a book review telling me all about it, what was your favourite part? Who was your favourite character? If you could change anything what would it be and why?
History: Create a non chronological report about The Battle of Hastings.
Science: Can you explain how we hear sounds? Look at different animals - what do you notice about their ears? How are they different to our? Why might that be? What sounds can you hear in your house?
Remember to send me your work via our class email address and you may find your work uploaded onto our class page and Twitter page!
