IMPORTANT INFORMATION

PARENTS

To support children's mathematical learning through this period of self-isolation and school closures we've decided to offer ALL parents completely FREE access to our Number Fun Parent Portal for 30 days.

The Portal is designed specifically to support learning at home and is packed with fun-filled experiences for primary aged children - including videos, songs, games and activities. It also includes an extensive set of video presentations to help parents understand how mathematics is taught in schools today.

You can check it out here:   parent.numberfunportal.com

We'd be grateful if you'd pass this on to any parents you think may benefit.

P.E

This half term, P.E is on a Friday afternoon.

Your child needs to keep their P.E kit in a clearly labelled P.E bag in school every day.

We will send it home at the end of each half term.

They will need:

White t-shirt, black shorts/pants/leggings and a pair of black P.E pumps.

Reading Books:

We have a reading programme in school called 'Accelerated Reader'. Your child will quiz on each book they read. We will encourage children to quiz as much as possible within the week. For longer texts, your child may only quiz once per week.  It is important that you read with your child every night.

Homework:

Homework will be sent out each week. In your child's purple homework book there is a sheet which sets out the homework for this term. Your child is to complete one piece of homework every week, this is to be done and brought in before Friday of each week. . Spellings and times tables will be sent out weekly.

Book Bags & Uniform:

Please make sure your child brings a book bag to school everyday. It will help them to carry their homework and reading books. Children will be told to put any important letters or notices inside their book bags so please make sure you check them regularly.

Please ensure that your child's uniform is clearly labelled to avoid loss of belongings. We encourage children to put jumpers in their trays to keep them safe. When the weather is bad, make sure your child has a waterproof coat with a hood and suitable footwear.

We are reading "Greek Myths" this term! This is an amazing book!

In our topic lessons we are going to be learning all about Volcanoes and how they are formed!
