Thank you for having a look at our blog. We are very proud of all the hard work that we do in Year 3 and are all very excited to share it with you.
Here you can find out lots of information about our learning in and around school, and also keep up to date with any news, events and homework.
Homework: Sent home every Friday, due back the following Wednesday.
Spellings: Sent home every Friday, tested the following Friday
You can find out how your child scored on their new sheet of spellings that they bring home, as they will write it at the top once they have been marked.
Times Tables: Sent home every Friday, tested every Friday.
Reading books: Changed at least once a week - the day varies for each child depending on our guided reading timetable.
All children are expected to have their full PE kit in school every day, which is: a white t-shirt, black shorts and black pumps. PE is now on a Thursday afternoon, the children will be doing Gymnastics.
Enjoy looking through our Y3 journey!
Next term we will be learning about Our Extreme Earth!
It is a requirement for all the children in Year 3 to know their 3, 4 and 8 times tables. Please practise these as often as you can as it will help your child progress in all areas of their maths. Thank you for your ongoing support in this area.
All children have a Mathletics log in and password, this is a fantastic resource to support their learning and I will regularly set homework on it - once they have completed this on the website they can access all areas. If the children earn 1000 points a week they can earn a Bronze certificate (2000 Silver and 3000 Gold!).
