We will also be learning about castles within History, labelling castles and learning about castles past and present. We will even be visiting a real castle!!

ATTENDANCE surprise

In St Luke's we believe it is very important to be in school every day. This way you will not miss out on any learning as we build up to our Year 2 SATs. In 2C we have a super attendance board where every day that you are in your star will be moved along to the next number. All the children who have reached day number 5 on a Friday, meaning they have been in every single day, will be entered into a class raffle. 5 names will be chosen and prizes will be won.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT no

UPDATE:

We are now following a new reading programme called 'Accelerated Reader'.

The children will be taking a quiz that will assess their reading book range and they will be bringing books home to read within this range.

Once your child has read a book at home they will be able to complete a quiz on an Ipad within the classroom that will have a number of questions relating to the book.

Enjoy the news books smiley
